Synology DS923+ 4-Bay NAS 32GB RAM 10GbE NIC Diskless (Used, Tested)
About this item
Overview
The Synology DS923+ is a capable 4-bay NAS built around AMD's Ryzen R1600 processor, well-suited for SMB file serving, backup targets (Synology Hyper Backup, rsync, Time Machine), and lightweight virtualization via Synology Virtual Machine Manager. This unit ships with two meaningful upgrades already installed: 32GB of RAM (versus the stock 4GB) and a 10GbE network interface card - making it ready for high-throughput workloads out of the box without additional investment.
The 10GbE NIC eliminates the bottleneck that the stock dual-1GbE configuration imposes on fast NVMe or SSD arrays. Combined with 32GB of RAM, this unit is well-positioned as a VM host or as a high-speed backup destination for environments with 10GbE infrastructure.
No drives are included. DSM (DiskStation Manager) will need to be installed on first boot - Synology's guided setup makes this straightforward.
