Overview
The Seagate Exos X18 is an 18TB helium-sealed enterprise hard drive built for NAS, server and storage array workloads. CMR recording and a 256MB cache give it the sustained throughput and rebuild behaviour that RAID, ZFS and Unraid arrays need. Standard SATA 6Gb/s interface.
Compatibility
Works in any system with a 3.5-inch SATA bay: NAS units (Synology, QNAP, TrueNAS, Unraid), servers, JBODs and desktops. SAS controllers and backplanes also accept SATA drives. Verify your enclosure or USB dock supports drives of this capacity before purchasing; some older units top out at 16TB or below.
