Overview
The HGST Ultrastar He10 is a 10TB helium-sealed enterprise hard drive from one of the most reliable drive families ever measured in datacenter fleets. This is the 4Kn (4K native sector) SAS 12Gb/s version and requires a SAS host bus adapter, RAID controller or SAS backplane, and an operating system and controller that support 4K native drives.
Compatibility
Compatible with enterprise servers, JBODs and storage arrays that provide a 3.5-inch SAS bay and a SAS controller or backplane, such as Dell PowerEdge, HPE ProLiant and Supermicro platforms, and TrueNAS or Unraid builds with an LSI/Broadcom HBA. Not compatible with SATA-only ports or consumer NAS enclosures such as Synology or QNAP without a SAS controller. Verify your enclosure supports drives above 8TB before purchasing.
